2020 Chardonnay “sur Montboucon” Eric Thill

“Sur Montboucon” Chardonnay from Jura. Complex, fat and round on the mouth! Refreshed by well balanced acidity and notes of pears, white flowers and pineapple.

Eric Thill and his wife Bérengère had a dream to make true terroir, where the soil, the grape and the fields speak directly through the wine. Although he was born in Alsace, it was in the southern Jura, around Gevingey, that he found 5 hectares of ideal fields. After years restructuring the vineyard, they have been certified organic in 2015 and biodynamic in 2021. Their hands are off any interventions in the cellar and a very minimum addition of sulfur during bottling happens. Their wines are pure and very delicious!
